UNICEF and Blockchain

Among the major institutions interested in virtual currencies is now UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund).

UNICEF's interest in Blockchain is in the possibility of storing a lot of data with Blockchain technology, without this being falsified.

Already in 2016, UNICEF had declared its intention to finance blockchain projects, such as the South African startup, TrustLab, which was thus paid nearly $ 100,000.

In August, the institution began receiving donations in Ethereum for a study on smartcontracts.

UNICEF co-founder Chris Fabian said:

"We believe that many of the places where this particular technology can be applied on a large scale will only be revealed with public access and without blockchain restrictions."

One can thus understand from these remarks, that UNICEF will no doubt have plans for ICO in the near future and that the institution will expand its investment funds in cryptocurrencies.
