What we actually think
Chainlink helps smart contracts use outside data and lets networks pass messages across chains. It remains one of the clearest crypto infrastructure stories, but buyers still need to ask whether heavy usage can create durable demand for LINK itself.

How we score Chainlink

Letter grade and grade-meaning explanation will appear once the editorial review is finalised.
What works, what doesn't
Pros
- Widely used for DeFi price feeds and other smart-contract data inputs.
- CCIP gives Chainlink a second growth story in cross-chain messaging, not just oracle feeds.
- Long operating history and broad integrations make the project easier to understand than many newer infrastructure tokens.
Cons
- Heavy network usage does not automatically turn into strong value capture for LINK holders.
- If developers adopt rival oracle or interoperability tools, Chainlink's growth case can weaken.
- Because oracle data often protects real money, bad feeds or outages would damage trust quickly.
