Some Redditors have reported on Ledger Wallet's subreddit /r/ledgerwallet that the website is going through performance issues with Bitcoin Cash (BCH). These issues seem to have been persisting from last 2 days. Few users posted that they are having trouble using BCH for transactions while some reported that they are unable to see their BCH balance.

One Redditor posted:

“I recently transferred all my BTC, ETH, and LTC from Coinbase to my Nano S. This all went fine. However, when I tried to send my BCH, the transfer went through but the balance is still 0 on the ledger wallet. I selected ‘Main’ and scan the QT Code to receive the funds. Did I do something wrong? It has been over 36 hours now.”

Ledger Wallet reacted to the incident by posting an Active Incident report after a deteriorated performance of BCH in cryptocurrency transactions.

This report initiated at 7:10 UTC on 9th April saying that there appear to be computability issues with the new version of Bitcoin-ABC which is Bitcoin Cash node. The company further reported to the relief of the users that their cryptocurrency funds are completely secure and in the event of an emergency they can access their funds through Electron Cash which is a software wallet. Redditors were not pleased with the amount of time Ledger has been taking to address the issue to which Nicolas Bacca, CTO of Ledger, responded:

“The team is still investigating. I'm not following this closely, but if invalid data was fed into our parser it could be necessary to reparse the whole chain which will take a few days. Thanks for your patience, and feel free to open an issue on Electron Cash GitHub if it isn't working properly… for any blogger trying to misquote me - this means that another team is working on it as fast as they can, but not myself.”

Company's CEO, Eric Larcheveque also stood behind the CTO saying that the infrastructure engineering team is trying to fix the outage issue. According to the latest update on the report, the system is now up and running again.

[Monitoring] We had confirmation that BCH was now working and displaying the correct balance. We're now deploying the patches on our remaining BCH servers.

[Monitoring] Patch were successfully deployed and the remaining of our BCH infra is syncing. ETA for full resolution 2:00 PM CET.
