Le 4 décembre 2017, une équipe de développeurs dont les identités n’ont pas été révélées avait annoncé un nouveau hard-fork du protocole originale de Bitcoin. Le nom du projet: “Bitcoin Atom” (BCA) ! Et selon les déclarations de la même équipe, le réseau Bitcoin Atom devrait être lancé au moment où le réseau original du Bitcoin traiterait le bloc 505 888 , soit approximativement autour du 24 janvier 2018.
